About The Position
Corporate Tax Partner – Boston, MA Who: An experienced tax leader with deep technical expertise, exceptional client relationship capabilities, and a proven ability to drive practice growth within a public accounting environment. What: Lead and expand the Boston tax practice by managing tax compliance and provision outsourcing teams, developing talent, strengthening client relationships, and driving new business opportunities. Position Overview: We are seeking a Tax Partner to lead and grow the Boston Tax practice, overseeing teams focused on tax compliance and tax provision outsourcing for middle-market and private equity–backed companies. This highly visible role requires strong technical expertise, exceptional leadership, and a demonstrated ability to expand market presence through business development and strategic relationship building.
Requirements
- Active CPA license required.
- Significant business tax experience with a large local, regional, or national public accounting firm.
- Expertise in federal (ASC 740), multi-state, and international tax compliance and consulting.
- Proven track record of driving growth and expanding a practice, service line, or office.
- Exceptional interpersonal and client relationship skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated staff development success.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Technology or Private Equity/VC clients is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead tax teams delivering compliance, provision outsourcing, and consulting services to middle-market clients.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by providing high-quality technical and strategic tax guidance.
- Coach, mentor, and develop managers and staff to strengthen technical capabilities and team performance.
- Drive growth through business development, networking, and expansion of services to existing clients.
- Collaborate with partners and firm leaders to strengthen service offerings and support firm-wide initiatives.
- Engage with clients across industries such as Technology, Private Equity, and other middle-market sectors.
- Provide oversight on federal (ASC 740), multi-state, and international tax engagements.
