About The Position

A Corporate Tax Manager will join the Corporate Tax Solutions team to manage end-to-end corporate income tax planning, compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting engagements for multiple clients. In this key role, you will lead teams, drive client relationships, and contribute to strategic tax initiatives while maintaining high standards of professionalism and client confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 4-7 years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience
  • Active CPA license (Georgia or reciprocity) OR JD with active law license (REQUIRED)
  • Recent public accounting experience with a top 15 accounting firm
  • Proven expertise in corporate income tax and ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes (preparation, review, and audit support)
  • Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and corporate income tax laws and regulations
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local income tax compliance and consulting, including international taxation and transfer pricing
  • Advanced analytical, technical, and tax accounting skills with proficiency in relevant software platforms
  • Exceptional client service, communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities
  • Strong teamwork orientation with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision (OTP) software
  • Professional services or industry accounting experience supporting large, multi-state, national, or global corporations
  • Stable employment history with minimal job transitions over the past 10 years
  • Previous industry tax experience (manufacturing, technology, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, consulting, engineering, telecommunications, or transportation & distribution)
  • Recent transition from public accounting to industry (within 2-3 years)
  • Willingness to relocate within the region

Responsibilities

  • Manage client engagements from initiation through completion, including planning, execution, direction, and delivery of tax projects while maintaining budget accountability
  • Supervise, train, and mentor senior associates, associates, and interns; conduct performance assessments and in-charge reviews
  • Identify and pursue service expansion opportunities with existing and prospective clients
  • Review and analyze tax returns prepared by staff, providing recommendations for accuracy and tax optimization strategies
  • Conduct primary review of ASC 740 income tax provision engagements and audit support projects
  • Research, consult, and advise on complex tax matters utilizing industry-leading tax software platforms
  • Prepare and process corporate tax returns; respond to inquiries from the IRS, state, and local tax authorities
  • Build and maintain strong client partnerships; effectively communicate with client management and staff at all organizational levels
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of client operations, business objectives, and industry dynamics to enhance service delivery
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training initiatives
  • Travel as needed to support client engagements
