YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY: The Corporate Subcontract Administrator is responsible for processing agreements, including subcontracts and change orders, monitoring the status of subcontracts, assisting the department in document and information gathering. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Examine and confirm departmental subcontracts and accompanying documentation for completeness and accuracy of information. Determine method to process subcontract based on dollar amount, timeliness required, existing open contracts, and/or competitive bidding. Address discrepancies, incomplete information, clarifications, and compliance in documentation. Issue and maintain agreements, including subcontracts, design service agreements, work authorizations, and change orders by following department processes and workflows. Participate in the continuing development of department instructions, policies, and procedures. Conduct subcontract-related audits to ensure that subcontract policies and procedures are followed. Work with managers in establishing and maintaining effective subcontractor partnerships to achieve active cooperation, team alignment, and stimulate the desire to award future work with subcontractors. Collect and summarize subcontract and project data and trends to report to management. Communicate subcontract procedures and policies to departments. Coordinate with various departments, including upper management, project management, prequalification management, safety, and finance, on the issuance of agreements and change orders. WHAT YOU BRING TO US: Two or more years of experience in construction purchasing or construction contract administration, preferably in electrical construction High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred Can be a combination of education, training and relevant experience WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures, policies and accounting Understanding of negotiation, networking and dealing with numbers, as well as the understanding of other factors such as sustainability, risk management and ethical issues Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat; Oracle experience preferred but not required Experience prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and changing priorities as necessary Experience working under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude Experience interacting effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, subcontractors, clients, and others TRAVEL: 0% to 10% WORKING CONDITIONS: General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for extension or full-time conversion based on performance and business needs. Pay Range $75,000.00-$98,400.00 Annual The pay range for this role is what we expect to pay for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Requirements
