We are seeking a Corporate Strategy Director to join our Strategy and Operations team. This team is responsible for driving strategic corporate initiatives for Five9 and plays a significant role in our long-term growth strategy, strategic planning, and operational improvements, as well as leading acquisitions and post-merger integration. In this role, you will lead Five9's key strategic growth initiatives, which include long-range strategic planning, merger integration, international growth, and the development of strategic ecosystems. You will also participate in other initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and partnerships.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience ideally in corporate development or strategy, investment banking, or strategy consulting at either a large publicly traded and/or top-tier firm
• MBA or equivalent
• Skilled in strategy development, project prioritization, hypotheses development, financial modeling, strategic options identification, consensus building, and implementation
• Strong executive presence, influence skills, attention to detail, project management, and ability to execute in an ambiguous environment
• Analytical mindset with strong financial modeling and problem-solving skills
• Strong executive communication and presenting skills
• Acquisition integration experience
• Background in enterprise-driven SaaS or customer experience is a plus
• Preference will be given to candidates in the San Ramon area

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of Five9's long-term corporate strategy to ensure alignment with business objectives and growth targets
• Conduct thorough assessments of Five9's core and adjacent markets to identify growth opportunities and strategic advantages
• Oversee strategic acquisition and integration efforts across various business functions, driving impactful results and contributing to organizational success
• Develop and implement a continuous improvement strategy for acquisition integrations
• Collaborate effectively with key business teams such as Product Management, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and IT to align strategy and ensure strategic initiatives are operationalized
• Manage cross-functional strategic projects from start to finish, ensuring clear objectives, measurable outcomes, and accountability
• Produce and deliver credible, compelling, and fact-driven work products that resonate with our internal clients
• Prepare and deliver impactful material and specialized projects for the Executive Staff and Board of Directors as required
• Act as a trusted strategic advisor to Senior Executives, providing insight and guidance on critical business decisions
