About The Position

Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, the Corporate Staff Accountant plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This position is responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and monitoring internal controls in compliance with US GAAP. The role supports month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, tax filings, and both internal and external reporting requirements. In addition, the Corporate Staff Accountant partners with teams across finance and operations to drive process improvements and support special projects that enhance efficiency and transparency.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalent preferred
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience
  • Intermediate accounting knowledge and experience
  • Professional communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Adaptable and collaborative in team settings
  • Ability to skillfully prioritize tasks, track tasks for completion, and be capable of creating documents for the purpose of presentations and internal company meetings.

Nice To Haves

  • Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivot, etc.) a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar ERP systems preferred
  • Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post month-end journal entries; support accurate and timely financial statement preparation.
  • Compile, review, and file sales tax returns; ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with licenses and permits.
  • Manage property tax schedules and ensure timely payments and filings.
  • Perform account reconciliations for customer/vendor rebates, prepaids, intangibles and accrual accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Review and process travel and expense (T&E) submissions; ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate reporting.
  • Support special projects and initiatives as needed to enhance financial operations.
