Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN ) credential in good standing
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Sports Nutrition, or a related field
  • Collegiate and/or professional sports nutrition experience
  • Knowledge of NCAA and/or professional league nutrition and supplement compliance
  • Experience supporting multi ‑ sport , multi ‑ site , or corporate sports nutrition programs
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with performance, culinary, and operations teams
  • MUST have experience and knowledge of working with TEAMSWORKS software (at the corporate performance kitchen level preferred) or similar diet menu systems
  • MUST live near a major airport to stay game‑ready for nationwide travel (role involves 50% travel)

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Sports Nutrition, or a related field
  • CSSD (Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics) or progress toward certification
  • Familiarity with performance food environments (fueling stations, training tables, team travel)
  • Experience developing a sports performance nutrition program from the ground up

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized, sport-specific nutrition strategies that optimize performance, recovery, and athlete wellbeing
  • Develop and implement fueling, hydration, and recovery protocols aligned with training loads, competition demands, travel, and seasonal cycles
  • Collaborate with chefs and foodservice partners to align menus and fueling environments with performance goals and athlete needs
  • Provide one-on-one and group nutrition education for athletes and staff, supporting recovery, resilience, and long-term performance
  • Partner with coaches, strength & conditioning, athletic trainers, and sports medicine teams to integrate nutrition with training and return-to-play plans
  • Guide safe, effective, and compliant supplement use in accordance with NCAA and professional league standards
  • Oversee athlete fueling operations, including fueling stations, training tables, team meals, and travel nutrition
  • Monitor performance data, athlete feedback, and seasonal demands to continuously adjust nutrition plans and programming
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional, ethical, and regulatory standards
