About The Position

Responsible for assisting management with the planning, organizing, and overall operation of the Catering Services and Office Environment function at the Corporate Headquarters location. Ensures quality services are provided on a daily basis, reflecting a positive image of the Bank and its facilities. Serves as backup manager for the Custodial team in the absence of management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of work experience in catering/custodial services, preferably in an office facility, required.
  • General knowledge of catering and cleaning services operations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • Ability to respond promptly and professionally to customer needs.
  • Ability to multi-task, demonstrate effective time management skills and meet exacting deadlines.
  • Ability to identify and diagnose problems and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to read and interpret written information accurately.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve and promote quality.

  • Ability to lift catering and cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to adhere to safety standards for use of chemicals and substances such as bleach and aerosols.
  • Sufficient motor skills and dexterity to safely operate and maintain cleaning equipment (e.g., commercial vacuums, buffers, polishers, push carts).
  • Skill in using computer, including basic knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel).

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience leading, supervising, or managing others, preferred.
  • Certification in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures HQ Catering and Office Environment is properly operated and maintained, with a focus on site function, esthetics and continued readiness for C-Suite clientele.
  • Supports daily meetings and conferencing services requiring special catering, coordinating logistics amongst vendors, external guests and internal participants.
  • Responds to all requests for services in a timely, satisfactory and professional manner; continuously anticipates needs and strives to exceed expectations.
  • Tracks and manages inventory of materials and supplies and notifies management when stock is low and needs to be replenished.
  • Ensures regular maintenance of equipment and amenities.
  • Plans and leads daily briefings to staff and reviews preparations for daily events in the absence of management.
  • Guides and supports staff and ensures performance meets objectives and expectations. Reports performance concerns to management.
  • Coordinates and supports catering operations, including contributing to menus, maintaining quality food service guidelines, and managing other food preparation operations.
  • Inspects and evaluates office environment, ensuring all areas are clean and safe according to Bank standards and OSHA guidelines.
  • Reviews all cleaning service requests to track areas of concern, repeated issues, malfunctions, etc. to make continued improvements.
  • Executes event planning cleaning procedures and post-event cleaning inspections to ensure expected levels of appearance and cleanliness.
  • Reviews and submits vendor invoices in absence of management.
  • Oversees deliveries and validates delivery contents in accordance with orders, examining the quality to ensure requests are fulfilled.
  • Complies with and ensures Bank and government sanitation standards.
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
