The Impact you will have in this role: Being a member of the Global Security Management team, the Corporate Security Director is responsible for all facets of DTCC's physical security and life safety program with emphasis on developing, defining, and implementing industry best practices to safeguard against threats and risks to DTCC employees, facilities, business enterprise, and assets. The global security team remains abreast of world events, unexpected crises, natural disasters, and geopolitical instability to identify, communicate, and allocate resources to mitigate potential risks and threats to DTCC. Corporate Security focuses on the physical security controls and processes that ensures the security guarding operations, security alarm & closed circuit television (CCTV) / Video Surveillance systems monitoring and mobile response, visitor management and mail screening processing. Corporate Security provides on-site security services, ensuring the overall safety and security of DTCC personnel, facilities and assets.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Directs the development and implementation of security policies and programs.
  • Responsible for identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure to liability in all areas of financial, physical, network, information technology, and personal risk.
  • Identifies significant security risks, designs and implements strategies and programs to prevent and reduce loss of the organization’s assets.
  • Establishes appropriate standards and risk controls associated with intellectual property.
  • Directs, coordinates, and implements security, operations, and activities to ensure the protection of executives, managers, employees, physical and information assets.
  • Develops and delivers preventative programs and services to protect against criminal financial loss, counterfeiting, crime against persons, sabotage, threats, emergencies, illegal acts, and property or environmental crimes.
  • Researches and deploys state of the art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard the organization's assets.
  • Directs the approach, deployment and execution of investigations.
  • Develops and manages the capital and expense budget for global security operations.
  • Develops relationships with law enforcement and international counterparts, including local security and international security agencies, intelligence, and private sector counterparts worldwide.
  • Briefs executive management on status of security issues.
  • Creates consensus in a climate of diverse operational activities and often conflicting regulations imposed by agencies with regulatory jurisdiction.
  • Plans, develops and implements procedures to obtain, maintain, secure, analyze, account for, and provide information from assessment reports.
  • Manages complex security improvement programs across DTCC.
  • Develop regional business plans and maintain close relationships with law enforcement, intelligence, private sector counterparts, local country security, and international security agencies.
  • Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
