About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Corporate Quality Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain company-wide quality standards and processes throughout our organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field
  • 2-4 years of experience in quality engineering or quality systems within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong working knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001 or equivalent)
  • Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA)
  • Proven ability to influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, including visits to domestic manufacturing sites and supplier locations
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional Problem solving and computer/skillsets.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to build collaborative relationships.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to provide clear and concise oral and written communication both internally and externally.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at one time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to develop plant level documentation to support corporate or ISO9001:2008 requirements. Level 1 policies, Level 2 Procedures, Level 3 Work Instructions, Level 4 Forms
  • Use quality tools to solve problems. Focus on lowering CQI’s and facility PPM. APQP, FMEA, CP, 8D CAPA, SPC, DOEx, Use of Minitab, Gage R&R (MSA)
  • Identify process steps
  • Identify product & process variables to control
  • Identify standard gages to measure process output
  • Improve product and the manufacturing process capability to reduce variability in the manufacturing facilities.
  • Assure high First Pass Yield values, low waste and greater on time delivery of products to customers
  • Measure process special characteristics, calculate their capability index and issue daily reports. Add SPC charts to floor activities as required.
  • Provide assistance to improve process capability.
  • React to daily low capability values, out of tolerance points on spc charts, and support improvement programs (projects) to gain control of poor performing characteristics.
  • Assure systems within business segments are standardized on “best practices”
  • Utilize the selected software platforms in a common way across the businesses
  • Standardize the use of gages
  • Standard training of Quality Associates within plants – core skills
  • Drive corrective action process – Via 8D tools
  • Address customer concerns (CQI) as well as plant waste issues
  • Open appropriate amounts which can be effectively managed.
  • Conduct “proactive customer visits”
  • Meet with customers at their facilities
  • Mitigate quality concerns by working on site to resolve issues
  • Provide sort services if required or requested by the customer
  • Prepare PowerPoint materials as needed to present to customers
  • Be capable of representing any plant on customer visits or when addressing quality concerns in the field.
  • Conduct “reactive customer visits” as required to mitigate issues reported by the field.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality, cost, and reliability
