The Corporate Portfolio Management Team Lead oversees a group of Portfolio Managers, ensuring consistency in execution and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment. This role is responsible for coaching, performance management, and aligning team activities with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in commercial or corporate lending or portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching ability.
  • Strong credit analysis and risk management skills, with experience in complex credit structures.
  • Experience with loan systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of credit policy and risk governance.
  • Track record of process improvement and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coach a team of corporate portfolio professionals, ensuring adherence to advanced credit policies and servicing standards.
  • Resolve escalated servicing and credit issues, including those involving complex structures and high-profile clients.
  • Review team performance, pipeline trends, and portfolio metrics to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Support employee development through targeted training and constructive feedback.
  • Participate in business line projects and process improvements, contributing expertise in corporate credit.
  • Ensure timely completion of renewals, reviews, and servicing requirements for large, multifaceted credit relationships.
  • Coordinate with Relationship Managers on new loan opportunities and portfolio expansion.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory and internal requirements, maintaining rigorous standards.
  • Support system enhancements and reporting needs for the corporate portfolio.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture focused on excellence and innovation.
  • Compliance with any and all BSA/AML/CFT and Sanctions requirements set forth by Bank Policy and Procedure, including but not limited to timely completion of assigned training.
  • The position performs duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned by management.
  • The position is responsible for the supervision of all office employees and is expected to provide leadership, training and support to staff members.
