About The Position

The Corporate Partnership Manager is responsible for driving new and renewed corporate sponsorship revenue for Memphis Zoo. This role focuses on cultivating, securing, and activating high-value partnerships. The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship-builder with experience in sponsorship sales, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once. This role is designed with long-term growth in mind, offering increased responsibility as the corporate partnership portfolio evolves. Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years of professional experience in one or more of the following: Corporate sponsorship sales. Partnership development. Business development or revenue-generating sales roles. (Nonprofit, cultural institution, sports, entertainment, or hospitality experience acceptable).
  • Demonstrated experience securing new business , including: Prospecting and pitching to corporate clients. Closing revenue-generating agreements. Managing a sales pipeline toward defined revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Corporate Partnership Sales & Development Prospect, pitch, and secure new corporate partnerships with an emphasis on multi-year agreements and naming-rights opportunities.
  • Manage a strong sales pipeline to meet or exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Develop customized sponsorship packages aligned with Zoo programs, events, exhibits, and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate sales reporting and documentation.
  • Sponsor Activation & Fulfillment Lead execution of all partnership deliverables and ensure exceptional fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Events, Operations, and other departments to execute activations and contractual benefits.
  • Manage mid-year and end-of-year recap reporting and renewal proposals.
  • Ensure sponsor branding, signage, and activations meet Zoo standards.
  • Client Relations & Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for all corporate partners.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with new and existing partners.
  • Gather and document partner feedback to improve sponsorship performance and retention.
  • Departmental & Strategic Support Support long-term strategy for sponsorship growth.
  • Help identify new revenue opportunities and partnership categories.
  • Assist in developing sponsorship-related processes and internal standards.
  • Contribute to a scalable department structure as revenue grows.
