This onsite role supports a fast-paced legal function focused on complaint intake and resolution, commercial contract operations, and practical privacy execution under attorney direction. The position partners closely with internal stakeholders and outside counsel to operationalize legal guidance and embed privacy-by-design into everyday processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as a corporate/in-house paralegal with demonstrated experience in complaint intake and tracking, pre-litigation coordination, subpoena/discovery support, and contract operations under attorney supervision.
  • Proven ability to interface with outside counsel and operationalize legal guidance into clear processes, templates, and SOPs across business teams.
  • Exposure to privacy operations (not providing legal advice), including notices/policies, DPIAs/PIAs, consent/cookies, privacy rights, and vendor assessments; comfortable working under attorney direction.
  • Strong writing, organization, and project management; able to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and stakeholders in a dynamic, onsite environment.
  • Education/certifications: Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred; ABA-approved paralegal certificate a plus; privacy credentials (e.g., CIPP/CIPM) helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Triage, log, and track legal complaints and pre-litigation claims; gather facts and documents; prepare summaries and status updates; coordinate responses and follow-through with internal teams and outside counsel.
  • Manage communications and deadlines with company attorneys and outside counsel; assemble factual chronologies and document packets; coordinate discovery responses and subpoena/records requests as directed by counsel.
  • Translate outside counsel recommendations into practical workflows, checklists, and standard operating procedures; drive cross-functional execution and track completion of corrective actions.
  • Support drafting/review of NDAs, vendor and customer agreements, SOWs, and amendments using approved templates and playbooks; issue-spot and escalate to counsel; maintain organized trackers and version control.
  • Maintain organized issue lists, calendars, and task lists; prepare periodic reports and dashboards summarizing complaint metrics, contract status, and outside counsel matters.
  • Coordinate and perform privacy operations strictly under guidance and oversight of the company’s attorneys, aligning activities to approved risk posture and policies.
  • Coordinate updates to external privacy notices and internal privacy policies to reflect applicable laws and attorney guidance; manage versioning, approvals, and stakeholder communications.
  • Facilitate documentation and mitigation tracking for DPIAs/PIAs on new products, vendors, and marketing use cases; route legal issues/decisions to counsel and record determinations.
  • Help maintain consent/cookie tools and preference centers; coordinate intake and fulfillment of privacy rights requests with business owners and counsel; maintain audit-ready logs and SLAs.
  • Support vendor privacy assessments, DPA reviews, cross-border transfer considerations, and incident/breach workflows in coordination with Security and counsel.
  • Coordinate privacy training logistics; circulate practical updates on regulatory changes, KPIs, and process improvements approved by attorneys.
