About The Position

This position will serve two critical functions: provide paralegal support to the CEO and oversee contract administration and compliance requirements for our federal government and commercial business. The Corporate Paralegal will report to and provide support to the CEO in researching corporate and organizational matters and drafting/managing related documents. In addition, supports and contributes to growing government sales as the lead personnel for contracts administration, this person will manage all aspects of contractual requirements (using knowledge of FARS, DFARS, and DoD to ensure compliance) to help ensure OCC's success in capturing business.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Paralegal Certification required.
  • 4-6 years experience with FARS and DFARS.
  • Experience with CMMC and NIST-800.
  • Experience in contracts review, analysis, and oversight (government and private).
  • Experience with Non-Disclosure Agreements.
  • General business law knowledge.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Close attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary lead for the analysis, review, and oversight of government and private contracts.
  • Collaborate with and provide guidance to the sales team responsible for this business.
  • Use FARS and DFARS knowledge to ensure contract requirements are understood and met by the team involved in managing customer relationships.
  • Work with sales, engineering, operations, HR, IT, and other departments to understand internal processes and policies related to compliance requirements.
  • Manage OCC's formal responses to contractual issues and customer inquiries.
  • Manage OCC's customer portal access.
  • Review contracts for private customers.
  • Maintain a constant pulse on OCC compliance practices and processes against the ever-changing contract requirements.
  • Regularly communicate compliance changes to the leadership and sales team.
  • Effectively manage the process of contract administration.
  • Support the CEO in drafting and finalizing legal documentation.
  • Interface with counsel on behalf of the CEO.
  • Ensure quick turnaround on finalizing, approving, and executing contracts.
  • Promote OCC's service excellence and quality.
