About The Position

The Corporate Markets Specialist is responsible for performing all administrative and service functions for all Corporate Markets distributors and policy owners, including handling group administration. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, managing policy changes, processing inquiries, and performing various administrative tasks related to group contracts and premiums.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in the life industry
  • Customer Service experience is critical in this position to service customers with honesty, respect, and integrity
  • Must be flexible to adapt quickly to change, possess strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills to identify solutions to various situations and manage multiple priorities within stated timeframes.
  • Oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Competency with mainframe and PC technology.
  • Must also be able to develop administrative procedures that are clear, concise, and follow the contract language.
  • Able to contribute to and share resources within a team environment.
  • Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver customer service to distributors and policyowners that meet or exceed customer expectations. This includes but is not limited to processing and managing all policy changes, service and general inquiry of all types, phone inquiries, projections, and any other service functions associated with this distribution system.
  • Perform group contract administration activities: Daily process group files ensuring proper accounting entries and commission changes are made. Audit group commission statements monthly and group commission accounts when requested for accuracy. Process files according to company guidelines for group new issue and group policy changes.
  • Process new and renewal premiums for groups and individual policies.
  • Aid in conservation strategies through proactive identification of policies at risk and notification of potential competition as well as special project work.
  • Pocess annual statements twice per calendar year. This includes preliminary system testing to identify necessary modifications, reviewing attention statements and making the appropriate corrections as well as managing the mailing process within prescribed timeframes.
  • Maintain and update the interest rate file and par rate file as needed.
  • Define, implement, and test system requirements for all Corporate Markets products.
  • Work on special projects as requested throughout the year.
  • Manage relationships with distributors via quality service and face-to-face meetings to set expectations.
  • Maintain current knowledge through the Capital Administration Group.
  • Serve as back up to other positions within the department during absence or as increased needs arises. Positions include but not limited to New Business and Contracting and Licensing.
