The Corporate IT Accountant will play a key role in managing, organizing, and improving the financial processes that support the company's IT operations. This position will oversee intercompany billings related to IT services and assets, ensure accurate recording of IT-related transactions, and drive efficiency in how IT costs are allocated across business units and entities. This role bridges the gap between Accounting and Information Technology, providing critical financial insight to both departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable collaborating across multiple departments within a complex corporate structure.

  • Manage and process intercompany billings for IT services and expenses, including transactions to and from the parent entity and affiliated companies.
  • Ensure intercompany transactions are accurately recorded, properly supported, and reconciled each month.
  • Maintain clear documentation and standardized workflows for IT-related allocations.
  • Develop, organize, and refine processes and tools for tracking, charging, and reporting IT costs.
  • Partner with IT leadership to ensure that cost allocations reflect actual usage and support strategic budgeting.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline billing and reconciliation processes through automation or improved workflows.
  • Compile, monitor, and analyze IT budgets versus actuals across the company.
  • Support variance analysis, identify cost drivers, and provide actionable insights to both Finance and IT leadership.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing IT financial performance for senior management.
  • Work closely with IT, Procurement, and Accounting teams to ensure IT purchases, projects, and contracts are properly captured and allocated.
  • Serve as a liaison between Accounting and IT to ensure consistent communication and alignment on financial processes.
  • Assist with audits and special projects involving IT financial data or intercompany transactions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 1-5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or shared services environment; experience with intercompany accounting and/or IT cost allocations highly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Process-oriented with a drive to improve systems and efficiency.
  • Experience in construction, information technology, engineering, or related industries a plus.
  • Familiarity with IT chargeback or cost allocation methodologies.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) a plus.
