About The Position

The Corporate Inside Sales Representative (CISR) at Emser Tile is responsible for generating revenue through proactive sales activities, managing customer relationships, and achieving assigned sales quotas. This role involves working closely with Branch Managers and Outside Sales Representatives to reactivate dormant accounts and develop assigned sales territories. The CISR will also handle quotes and sales orders, maintain CRM databases, and ensure excellent customer service throughout the sales process.

Requirements

  • 3 years of sales experience (Required)
  • 3 years of customer service experience (Required)
  • 2 years of experience in tile or flooring (Preferred)
  • Excellent customer service skills, especially in handling escalations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to recognize and resolve potential issues quickly.
  • Business knowledge relating to the sales cycle, credit, shipping, and customer order management.
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue on Emser products and services through proactive sales activities.
  • Follow up on leads and convert prospects into customers.
  • Prospect new accounts and partner with Branch Managers and Outside Sales Representatives.
  • Process quotes and sales orders in JDE and maintain CRM/ERP databases.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales quotas.
  • Conduct pre-call planning using sales order history and CRM data.
  • Follow up on leads generated through various channels.
  • Communicate order issues and resolve problems promptly.
  • Establish or reestablish customer relationships with clear objectives.
  • Determine product and service needs based on sales history and reports.
  • Introduce and upsell new products and services to customers.
  • Maintain customer contact information in the CRM system.
  • Manage a sales pipeline to increase closure rates and shorten sales cycles.
  • Provide competitive market information and perform regular sales forecasts.
