About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist at PAM Health Corporate Office in Plano, TX is responsible for overseeing and executing HR functions, including policy administration, employee relations, recruitment, and onboarding. This role serves as a vital link between employees and management, ensuring effective communication and support in HR matters while promoting a positive workplace culture.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Superior customer focus with a drive for service excellence.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and form partnerships with various individuals inside the organization.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality on sensitive issues.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in using, creating reports, and troubleshooting in an HRIS, with experience in UKG being a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides support for recruiting activities, maintaining a current listing of open positions and ensuring compliance with posting policies.
  • Assists the Regional Talent Engagement Manager in recruitment activities and processes as requested.
  • Participates in professional organization conferences, college job fairs, and career days to maintain PAM Health's image and recruit personnel.
  • Facilitates the hiring and onboarding of new employees, preparing new hire packets and ensuring completion of required forms.
  • Performs background checks as directed to allow for timely hiring.
  • Creates and maintains confidential personnel files in accordance with PAM Health policy and regulatory guidelines.
  • Completes all hiring data processes and forwards necessary information to the payroll department in a timely manner.
  • Serves as a liaison to staffing vendors to facilitate timely communication of results.
  • Ensures the FMLA process is initiated promptly and follows up with employees as needed.
  • May coordinate employee recognition events, overseeing nominations, voting, and coordination of rewards.
  • Participates in annual enrollment activities, notifying employees of changes in benefit programs and assisting with completion when needed.
  • Drives a positive culture and serves as a business partner and employee advocate.
  • Handles employee relations issues and investigations in accordance with PAM Health policies.
  • Assists managers with the employee performance appraisal process and ensures timely submission of Personnel Action Request forms.
  • Manages and maintains the education database, initiating user accounts as needed.
  • Monitors compliance with HR policies and procedures, notifying management of any discrepancies.
  • Conducts exit interviews with terminating employees.
  • Trains and educates management and employees on HR policies and procedures.
