The Corporate Financial Analyst is responsible for accounting and reporting related to corporate general ledger accounts (including complex Debt and hedging instruments), while supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. This role ensures accurate financial reporting in compliance with U.S. GAAP, contributes to both internal and external reporting, partners cross-functionally across the organization, and drives process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 2–5+ years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting or industry experience preferred)
  • Experience with debt accounting and/or derivative instruments preferred
  • Experience supporting internal and/or external financial reporting, including financial statements and footnotes, preferred
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • CPA or CPA eligibility preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting workpapers, including those related to corporate debt and derivative instruments, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Account for and analyze corporate debt and derivative activity, including debt issuances, repayments, interest accruals, and derivative valuations and settlements, in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Support financial reporting processes by preparing supporting schedules and analysis for financial statements, footnotes, and internal and external reporting packages on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Assist with the quarterly close and year-end audit processes, including coordination with external auditors and preparation of audit support.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal corporate accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Treasury, FP&A, Technical Accounting) to support business initiatives, reporting requirements, and resolve accounting issues.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Participate in special projects, including system implementations and process automation initiatives, as needed.
