About The Position

As an Associate Financial Analyst in Fidelity Investments you are a critical part of a team responsible for the delivery of accurate, high quality financial information to team members, managers, and business partners. You are responsible for producing standard financial reports and other documents and analysis that support the overall Finance function in achieving our strategic and business goals.

Requirements

  • Rising seniors pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a similar field
  • Interest and/or experience with financial modeling
  • Strong proficiency with Excel (V-lookups, pivot tables)
  • Thorough understanding of financial principles and systems
  • Self-starter and great teammate who works collaboratively to achieve the team’s overall goals and objectives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with an ability to influence others across the company and build relationships
  • Ability to innovate and understand the importance of operational improvement and time management

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of reporting for numerous Fidelity business partners, including analysis and support
  • Perform month-end reporting across multiple product lines and businesses for drivers and metrics such as sales activity, transaction detail, conversions / de-conversions and future dedications.
  • Preparing daily, weekly and month-end operational reports evaluating and analyzing variances to previous periods, budget and forecast
  • Working proactively and reciprocally with finance partners to analyze opportunities to migrate reporting to a self-service platform.
  • You will be partnering with businesses to ensure the information provided through reporting tools, presentations and other communications provides the targeted answers to the pertinent questions/initiatives
  • Ensuring accurate controls, documentation and reviews are in place to alleviate risks
  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis, reports and presentation materials in support of senior management
