About The Position

The Corporate Facilities Manager is responsible for keeping all company-operated restaurants safe, functional, and well maintained. This role manages repair and maintenance programs across the restaurant portfolio and ensures building systems and equipment stay in good working condition. This position does not perform repairs directly. Instead, the Facilities Manager coordinates and oversees third-party vendors and service providers who perform maintenance and repair work.  The Facilities Manager tracks restaurant assets, manages maintenance budgets, plans equipment replacements, and helps forecast capital spending. This role works closely with Operations, Construction, and Finance to ensure facilities are properly maintained and ready to support restaurant operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, construction management, business management, or a related field preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience managing facilities or maintenance programs across multiple locations
  • Experience supporting facilities for multi-unit restaurant, retail, or franchise operations preferred
  • Experience managing third-party vendors who perform repair and maintenance work
  • Strong understanding of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and commercial kitchen equipment
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets and tracking repair and maintenance spending across multiple locations
  • Experience maintaining asset inventories and planning equipment replacement and facility upgrades
  • Experience coordinating facility upgrades, remodels, and equipment installations in operating restaurants or retail locations
  • Ability to review scopes of work, compare vendor bids, and manage repair or improvement projects through completion
  • Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or similar facilities tracking system
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple locations and service requests at the same time
  • Clear communicator who works well with operations teams, vendors, and internal departments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow company processes and compliance requirements
  • Able to work independently and manage priorities across a growing portfolio of restaurants

Responsibilities

  • Oversee repair and maintenance needs for all company-operated restaurants
  • Coordinate service calls and maintenance work through third-party vendors
  • Ensure building systems are operating properly, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment
  • Manage preventative maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and unexpected repairs
  • Ensure restaurants meet all safety requirements and building regulations
  • Coordinate building safety programs when needed
  • Maintain a clear inventory of major restaurant assets and equipment
  • Track asset categories such as HVAC systems, kitchen equipment, building components, and infrastructure
  • Monitor the condition of major assets and help plan repair or replacement when needed
  • Coordinate equipment replacements and asset retirement planning
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets for each restaurant location
  • Track repair and maintenance spending across the restaurant portfolio
  • Prepare forecasts for capital expenses such as equipment replacement and facility upgrades
  • Provide cost estimates and planning support for facility improvements
  • Manage relationships with maintenance vendors and service providers
  • Request bids and negotiate contracts for repair and maintenance work
  • Monitor vendor performance, service quality, and response times
  • Coordinate vendors across multiple restaurant locations
  • Work with Operations, Construction, and Finance teams to plan facility needs
  • Support planning for restaurant upgrades, remodels, and equipment replacements
  • Help identify facility issues that could impact restaurant operations
  • Ensure restaurants meet local, state, and federal facility regulations
  • Maintain records related to maintenance, inspections, and compliance requirements
  • Prepare reports related to facility performance, maintenance activity, and budgets
