About The Position
Shaw Industries is seeking a Corporate Engineer - Electrical. Under the limited direction of the Engineering Manager, this position is primarily responsible and accountable for project development, design, and execution, with a secondary focus on technical support for manufacturing facilities. Work is often multi-disciplined and requires close coordination with manufacturing management, other corporate departments, and outside agencies. While project assignments may at times overlap into other disciplines such as mechanical systems and manufacturing processes, the primary focus of this position is electrical and power systems. This position is responsible for collecting design criteria, preparing detailed schedules, preparing technical specifications, developing engineering designs, assembling project estimates, creating engineered drawings, and utilizing project management tools to ensure projects meet safety, quality, schedule, performance, and budget requirements.
