Requirements

  • Current Registered Dietitian license in the state of Maryland.
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience as a Registered Dietitian working in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Knowledge of the Nutrition Care Process and ability to apply all steps of the process.
  • A strong desire to deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way.
  • Superb organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to counsel and educate others.
  • Decision making, problem solving and collaboration skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Providing and managing vacation, childbirth leave, and medical leave coverage for all FutureCare facilities.
  • Working closely with the Director of Nutrition Services, Corporate Director of Dining Services, and regional clinical and operations management teams.
  • Ensuring adherence to state and federal regulatory guidelines for all aspects of food and nutrition services.
  • Supporting efforts for key indicators including patient satisfaction, process improvement, effective clinical coverage, quality consistency, staff growth and retention, and achieving budgetary goals.
  • Mentoring and training facility Registered Dietitians to ensure clinical competency and productivity.
  • Communicating organizational mission and goals to FutureCare Food and Nutrition Services teams.
  • Travel is required.
