About The Position

The Corporate Development Analyst at CME Group will support the assessment of inorganic growth opportunities and strategic positioning to enhance existing business lines and explore new markets. This role involves evaluating, structuring, negotiating, and executing mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other commercial arrangements to further CME Group's business interests. The Analyst will work collaboratively across various divisions and with external advisors to provide insightful analysis and reports that aid management in decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with relevant coursework in Finance, Accounting, and/or Economics required.
• One to two years of relevant experience in Valuation Consulting, Investment Banking, or Corporate Development within Financial Services preferred.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills required.
• Prior experience in valuation modeling, financial analysis, and business case development preferred.
• Self-starter with the ability to work and collaborate effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Support Corporate Development and key internal stakeholders to maximize CME Group's value through inorganic initiatives.
• Assist in analyzing potential external opportunities such as mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures through data gathering and financial modeling.
• Collect data and provide analytical reports to improve the business portfolio.
• Review and comprehend company or industry research reports, regulatory filings, and financial statements for data gathering.
• Create and maintain routine business reports, presentations, and financial analyses based on an understanding of key products and business functions.
• Collaborate with senior members of Corporate Development and other departments to develop business cases for transactions and investment recommendations.
