About The Position

CopperPoint has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Development Analyst. This role supports the corporate development function and plays a critical part in advancing the company’s strategic objectives. The position offers exposure to and interaction with senior leadership across the organization and serves as a key contributor to strategic decision-making. The Corporate Development Analyst will assist with researching market characteristics and trends, conducting competitor and industry analyses, gathering and organizing market intelligence, and performing analytical reviews. In addition, the role supports the evaluation and qualification of corporate development opportunities, as well as due diligence and integration activities tied to growth initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience in corporate development or technical and analytical market research.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to interpret and summarize large amounts of information
• Experience conducting market research and/or competitor analysis
• Self-starter and intellectually curious
• Highly organized, able to manage time and multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functional areas and manage relationships on behalf of the company
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

• Experience with insurance industry financial analysis or actuarial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the qualification of corporate development opportunities, including research market potential and conducting due diligence activities as assigned.
• Assist in the strategic analysis of new business opportunities, including conducting research and preparing overviews on industry segments and trends.
• Utilize multiple sources (proprietary, third party, and industry resources/publications) to analyze and produce significant, useful, and objective insights.
• Gather and organize market intelligence data.
• Identify, collect, and synthesize research on market characteristics, trends, and competitive landscape.
• Perform financial analysis on target companies, including the creation of multi-year pro-formas, and financial statement analysis.
• Monitor, organize, and report relevant industry news and current events to support competitive intelligence and assessment of new threats and opportunities arising in the marketplace.
• Assist in the integration of M&A opportunities, including coordination with leaders across the enterprise to assess integration opportunities and track overall progress.
• Present findings to executive management, including CFO and CEO.
• Develop effective personal business relationships within and outside the organization.
• The position requires infrequent travel.
