About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Corporate Development Analyst to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience across the full M&A lifecycle, from sourcing to integration. The Analyst will work closely with senior leadership and will play a key role in market outreach, financial analysis, valuation, deal structuring, and strategic decision support. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is looking to build a foundation in private equity, M&A, and corporate strategy. The role is based in Austin, TX, and follows a hybrid schedule of 4 days in-office and 1 day remote per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or a relevant operating company; internships included
  • Strong financial modeling and Excel skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High degree of professionalism and comfort interacting with business owners and executives
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated interest in M&A, private equity, or entrepreneurship is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to identify acquisition targets in priority markets
  • Execute outbound calling and email campaigns to engage business owners
  • Track and manage pipeline activity within the CRM (e.g., Pipedrive)
  • Support preparation of outreach materials and company presentations
  • Analyze seller financials including P&Ls, balance sheets, and customer data
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate potential transactions
  • Perform sensitivity analyses and assess key valuation drivers
  • Assist in preparing investment memos for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support due diligence efforts in coordination with internal and external teams
  • Assist in the drafting and review of LOIs and other transaction documents
  • Track key deal terms, risks, and milestones across active deals
  • Help negotiate terms with sellers and intermediaries under guidance
  • Maintain real-time visibility into the M&A pipeline, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across tools and reports
  • Monitor deal statuses, key deadlines, and next steps to help keep the Corporate Development team aligned and accountable
  • Assist in preparing weekly pipeline reviews, reports, and updates for internal stakeholders
  • Perform market mapping and industry analysis for expansion planning
  • Develop board-facing materials and dashboards on M&A activity
  • Contribute to integration planning and performance tracking of acquired companies
  • Support special projects and analytical workstreams as needed
