About The Position

The Corporate Customer Service Representative serves as the initial point of contact for assigned accounts and is responsible for delivering best-in-class service. This role requires resolving customer concerns in a manner that supports both the customer and company goals. The representative will input and manage customer orders, maintain accurate records, and act as a liaison with various departments to ensure smooth order fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree preferred, or six months to one year of related experience.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and consultative service approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong data entry skills.
  • Ability to learn new software and systems as needed.
  • Regular and timely attendance and active participation in team meetings.
  • Strong goal orientation and the ability to meet individual and team targets.

Responsibilities

  • Release electronic customer orders to the warehouse.
  • Input orders into the online order system promptly and accurately.
  • Communicate order issues, including backorders and substitutions.
  • Assist customers with special order items and product inquiries.
  • Maintain and update customer information within the CRM.
  • Respond to phone messages and emails in a professional and timely manner.
  • Calmly and effectively deescalate and resolve customer issues.
  • Escalate unresolved customer queries or concerns appropriately.
  • Attend product meetings to improve product knowledge.
  • Participate in sales incentive programs.
  • Complete paperwork such as credit memos and marketing feedback forms to ensure proper interdepartmental workflow.
  • Develop and deliver clear, accurate written proposals and quotations.
  • Maintain organized and accurate customer records.
  • Collaborate with outside sales representatives to ensure excellent service and sales growth.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse to expedite order shipping as needed.
