About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment within assigned facilities. This position ensures that buildings, restrooms, offices, and common areas meet established cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment (vacuum, floor buffer, etc.)
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, andvacuum floors
• Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
• Empty trash
• Replenish supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.)
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisor
• Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals
• Assist with setting up rooms for meetings or events
