The Corporate Counsel will primarily support HITT West Coast and Central operations. The candidate ideally will be based out of HITT's Dallas or Los Angeles offices, but any of HITT's regional offices in California or Texas will be considered. The Corporate Counsel will have a strong background in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, including contract drafting and negotiations, claim advice, strategies for contract administration and dispute resolution, and union agreements. The role requires strong communication skills and a solid work ethic, with a willingness to grow and be challenged. The Corporate Counsel will work ethically, professionally, and with integrity, and must be passionate about the core business of construction while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This position is integral to HITT's Legal and Risk Management Department and will report to the Vice President, Counsel / Legal & Risk Management Department Head. The position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule with up to one day a week of remote work after successful completion of an initial onboarding period. The Corporate Counsel will also be expected to travel to HITT's HQ in Falls Church, VA for several weeks for initial onboarding.
