Research and prepare practical guidance and effectively communicate legal advice to inform business decisions. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and related agreements; advising stakeholders on contractual obligations and risk. Maintain proactive awareness of applicable existing and emerging regulations and agency guidance relevant to corporate operations. Incorporate regulatory requirements into corporate policies and procedures and partner with operating teams to maintain compliant practices. Monitor labor relations requirements in a unionized environment and participate in administration and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements. Prepare and coordinate required regulatory submissions and supporting documentation based on the company’s operations and services, including maintaining compliant records and responding to follow-up requests. Advise department leadership on claims and disputes, assessing liability and exposure, developing strategies for dispute resolution, and coordinating with external counsel. Support risk management programs, including reviewing and maintaining insurance coverages and coordinating with external partners to preserve coverage and support mitigation planning.
