Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) & member of a state bar.
In-house counsel experience.
6+ years of experience with commercial contracts.
Experience in negotiating SaaS & Hardware development contracts.
Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to provide and recommended solution to internal stakeholders and leadership at Waabi.
Extremely Proficient in Google Workspace (formerly Google Suite).
Open-minded and collaborative team player with the willingness to help others.
Passionate about self-driving technologies, solving hard problems, and creating innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead the negotiation and execution of complex, small and large-scale contracts through initial review, analysis of proposals and interpretation of all terms & conditions while mitigating all legal risks.
Partner with the internal stakeholders at Waabi on Supplier and Third Party contracts including but not limited to: NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, DPAs.
Provide insight on industry and market standards for all clauses in commercial contracts.
Draft contracts from scratch as needed to support various Waabi development efforts.
Collaborate closely with Global Supply Chain on contract databases and contract processes for Waabi.
Own identifying and implementing process improvements & documentation.
