About The Position

As we scale rapidly globally, we’re looking for a practical, business-minded attorney to join our lean, AI-enabled Legal team. This role is for someone who thrives in fast-moving, data-rich environments, can partner closely with commercial teams, and has the judgment to balance speed with risk. You’ll be a key advisor to Rokt’s commercial and operational teams, helping us scale responsibly while unlocking impact.

Requirements

JD with strong academic credentials; admitted to practice in the US
At least 2-3 years of legal experience in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house, ideally in high-growth technology, ecommerce, ad-tech, or mar-tech environments
Proven experience negotiating complex commercial and data-related agreements
Experience supervising external litigation counsel and/or handling litigation at a firm
Working knowledge of privacy and data protection laws (US + GDPR)
Skilled in simplifying complexity—clear, concise legal drafting and advice is your superpower
Strong project management skills; thrives handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment
Collaborative and solutions-oriented, with the ability to build trust with stakeholders across geographies and levels
High degree of initiative, sound judgment

Nice To Haves

Experience implementing or managing CLM systems (Ironclad preferred) a strong plus

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements with customers and suppliers, including SaaS, ecommerce, ad-tech/mar-tech, data processing, licensing, and strategic partnerships
Provide commercially astute counsel to Rokt’s global go-to-market, product, and partnerships teams, balancing risk with business velocity
Manage and oversee all litigation matters, including strategy, case assessment, discovery, settlement, and coordination with external counsel.
Stay on top of evolving legal and regulatory frameworks—including consumer protection, privacy (US state laws, GDPR), advertising, IP, AI governance, and cyber-security—and apply them pragmatically to our business
Support company-wide initiatives in compliance, corporate governance, risk management, template development, and training
Partner with Finance, People, and Operations to streamline contracting processes and accelerate deal flow, including through automation and CLM (Ironclad) optimization
Lean in as needed to other areas like corporate governance and regulatory issues
