About The Position

About Skylo Skylo is a global Non-Terrestrial Network service provider based in Mountain View, CA, offering a service that allows smartphone and IoT cellular devices to connect directly over existing satellites. Skylo’s direct-to-device service is now live on millions of activated devices across five continents, with more than 60 million square kilometers of coverage, in partnership with multiple satellite operators, mobile network operators (MNOs), Tier-1 chipset makers, and OEMs. Devices connected over satellite are managed and served by Skylo's commercial NTN vRAN, featuring a 3GPP standards-based cloud-native base station and core. Skylo provides an anywhere, anytime connectivity solution that seamlessly roams between terrestrial and satellite networks. Our focus is on enabling connected services for people outdoors and connected workflows across three main verticals: mass-market consumer devices, automotive, and industrial IoT. This role is located in Mountain View, CA where we are onsite 3 days a week in office. Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo Skylo is hiring a Corporate Counsel to support the growing volume of commercial, corporate, and operational legal work across the business. This role will focus on day-to-day contract review and negotiation, supporting internal stakeholders, and contributing to scalable legal processes as the company continues to grow.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on commercial transactions, technology, or general corporate matters.
  • JD and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound business judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a high volume of commercial contracts (e.g., NDAs, vendor agreements, SaaS, MSAs, SOWs).
  • Support procurement, business development, and product teams with day-to-day legal inquiries and escalations.
  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing management of contract management systems and legal operations tools.
  • Conduct legal research on emerging issues, regulations, and best practices relevant to Skylo’s business.
  • Assist with compliance initiatives, internal training, and policy rollouts.
  • Support knowledge management by maintaining legal templates, Contract Management Systems, and training materials.
  • Monitor and escalate legal risks as appropriate.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects as assigned by legal leadership.
