About The Position

Join Amazon's Operations Legal Department to provide strategic legal counsel on workplace health and safety regulatory matters across our North American operations. You'll serve as a key advisor to business leaders on compliance with occupational safety and health regulations and represent Amazon in interactions with regulatory agencies. This role offers high visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on employee safety. You'll provide real-time legal guidance to operations, safety, and HR teams navigating complex regulatory requirements. Expect phone-based counseling on compliance matters, reviewing safety policies and training materials, and advising on regulatory strategy. When critical incidents occur you'll lead the legal response and engage directly with regulatory agencies including OSHA and state authorities. Travel is minimal, but you'll participate in an on-call rotation (approximately one week every eight weeks) for urgent matters. We are a collaborative legal team within Amazon's Worldwide Operations Legal group, supporting compliance across regulatory verticals including workplace health and safety. We work closely with operations, safety, and HR partners across warehouses, delivery networks, and operational facilities.
