T-Mobile has an exciting opportunity for an attorney with exceptional analytical and communication skills and a talent for creative problem-solving to take the lead on employee privacy issues, including support for our Human Resources team and enhancement of internal trainings and policies, as well as advising other dynamic business teams on Data Subject Request obligations. A successful candidate will be ready to jump into action, working closely with experts across the legal department and business partners to provide practical, strategic legal guidance and design and implement creative, simple solutions to address complex legal and technological challenges. What you’ll do in your role. Advise the company on laws, regulations, obligations, and industry standards impacting employee privacy and Data Subject Requests Provide counsel on and drive compliance programs related to Data Subject Requests Drive a successful privacy compliance program through continuous improvement of internal-facing policies, trainings, and awareness programs. Develop strong business partnerships to help guide the business on privacy considerations for business strategies and products. Draft and negotiate related provisions in commercial contracts as needed. Analyze potentially impactful legislation and regulations and provide subject matter expertise to T-Mobile’s Government Affairs team. Propel other department and team initiatives as assigned. Requirements

  • 3+ years as an in-house, top law firm, or government attorney with relevant experience, including:
  • JD from an ABA-accredited university with outstanding academic credentials
  • Current bar membership (in good standing) in at least one U.S. state
  • Experience with privacy preferred
  • Strong aptitude and enthusiasm for learning new technology
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and advise on highly complex, high-impact matters and navigate ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to establish self as subject matter expert in specialty field(s)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact with a range of personalities and roles across the business with executive maturity
  • Ability to navigate a complex organization with a focus on delivering results efficiently
  • Keen, pragmatic business sense and good judgment

Responsibilities
