About The Position

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school in the U.S.
• California Bar admission required (or must be obtained within the first year of employment).
• 5-8 years of relevant experience as an attorney, preferably in a law firm or as in-house counsel.
• Experience in a wide range of employment and corporate transactional matters.

Responsibilities

• Review, structure, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts including vendor, sponsorship, consulting, marketing, licensing, technology, privacy, cybersecurity, and facility leases.
• Draft and update model standard templates and clauses for contracts.
• Develop contract review processes to enhance efficiencies within the organization.
• Prepare training materials for internal clients on contract principles and negotiation strategies.
• Advise on employment-related matters including recruiting, accommodations, leaves of absence, and HR policies.
• Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements and responses to regulatory inquiries.
• Handle employment-related disputes and manage relationships with outside counsel.
