About The Position

Global Guardian protects and delivers employees and families from political, environmental, and bad actor threats worldwide, providing emergency medical and security solutions. With 24/7 Operations Centers in McLean, VA, and Charlotte, NC, they identify, monitor, and respond to threats with on-the-ground teams in over 100 countries. The newly created Corporate Counsel – Contracts position will manage Global Guardian's contract lifecycle, working with Account Management, Business Development, Operations, and Accounting to ensure all agreements are current, complete, timely processed, and properly archived. This role is growth-oriented and will expand in scope and responsibilities as the company grows.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Demonstrated experience at a law firm, government agency, or corporate legal department.
  • Thorough understanding of commercial contract principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in drafting, redlining, and negotiating B2B service contracts preferred.
  • Experience using Ironclad or a similar contract management system (CMS) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day flow of new and renewing client contracts using Ironclad CMS.
  • Provide initial drafts of contracts to clients and perform the initial review of client redlines and comments.
  • Assist Account Management and Business Development teams in managing contract pipelines.
  • Ensure that all executed agreements within Ironclad are completely and accurately tagged, categorized, and searchable.
  • Manage the automated reported of all executed agreements to designated stakeholders.
  • Continually audit the contract portfolios across all divisions.
  • Audit company operating licenses and monitor state regulations to ensure continued compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for competitive bids resulting from new or changing public safety legislation and support Business Development in completing such bids.
  • Formulate, negotiate, and finalize large engagement contracts.
  • Perform legal research, generate memos and summaries, and create and maintain reference materials.
