The Corporate Controller at Michael Todd Beauty is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing all accounting operations and financial reporting within a rapidly growing e-commerce retailer, wholesaler, and manufacturer. The role requires expertise in financial accounting, reporting, analysis, and management of the accounting department, ensuring compliance with GAAP and optimizing financial processes using SAP ERP systems. The position demands strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to support strategic financial planning and decision-making.

  • Oversee all Accounting Operations and Financial Reporting, including General Accounting, HR, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Treasury functions.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes and preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Optimize financial processes using SAP B1 ERP System.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of monthly General Ledger account reconciliations.
  • Provide Financial Analysis of key areas including Sales and Inventory Reporting, Operational Expenses, and monthly P & L variance reporting.
  • Manage the Treasury function including management of daily cash positions and Bank Reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure timely scheduling of payments of Invoices and provide weekly payment runs for review and approval by CFO.
  • Manage the monthly Sales Tax Reporting process and other tax and compliance reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain team and Accounts Payable to ensure accuracy of factory invoices by matching details to Purchase Orders, Commercial Invoices, and Goods Received documents.
  • Responsible for weekly processing of payroll and HR related functions.
  • Preparation of Accounting Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist the CFO in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Maintain well-organized electronic files for all Accounting related documents.
  • Collaborate with the CFO on strategic financial planning and decision making.
  • BS Degree in Accounting.
  • MBA / CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive Accounting and Financial Operations experience.
  • Experience working with major Accounting Software Systems, SAP B1 preferred.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven Leadership ability, managing and developing a high-performing team.
  • Advanced Excel Skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of US GAAP Accounting Principles.
  • Experience in the retail/wholesale industry.
