Products are manufactured at company operated facilities in the East, South, and Midwestern United States. We are seeking a Corporate Controller to join our team! The Corporate Controller leads the accounting and financial activities of the organization by performing the following duties personally or through the corporate finance team. This is a full-time position located in Lancaster, PA. Hours are Monday-Thursday, 7:45 AM – 4:45 PM; Friday, 7:45 AM – 3:30 PM.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university in Accounting, Finance or Administration
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have the ability to handle stressful situations as they arise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision and ability to differentiate colors.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of database software; manufacturing software and be proficient Microsoft Office Programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees accounting operations including establishment and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP requirements, ensuring the timelines, accuracy and integrity of the Company’s financial data and internal and external financial reporting.
  • Produce and interpret balance sheets, income statements and cash flow. Ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Review journal entries and complete monthly detailed account reconciliations.
  • Monitor closing processes, expenses and reimbursements.
  • Leads the annual external audit and benefit plan audits and serves as a key point of contact for external financial auditors.
  • Creates and reviews all period-end activities to ensure the period-end financial statements accurately reflect the results of the Company’s activities and is familiar with the specific software procedures necessary to make final adjustments prior to closing out the period.
  • In conjunction with the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, prepares reports and recommendations to Senior Leadership and the CFO.
  • Promote and enable key talent management activities including development and coaching of finance talent, succession pipeline management, recruitment, etc.
  • All other duties as assigned
