About The Position

Syntiant Corp., a leader in the high-growth AI software and semiconductor solutions space, is looking for an experienced and talented International Corporate Controller to take on a critical role with expansive responsibilities to enhance the Finance function in a growing organization. The International Corporate Controller to lead and scale our global accounting function during a critical phase of international expansion and IPO readiness. This role oversees all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and GAAP compliance. The Controller will elevate financial rigor and transparency, leverage technology to drive efficiency, and partner closely with the CFO and executive team to support continued global growth. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or advanced degree is a plus); CPA strongly preferred (Big 4 experience a plus).
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 5 years in a corporate controller or similar role at a global manufacturing/tech company (semiconductor, AI/hardware, or related preferred).
  • Deep expertise in US GAAP, SEC reporting, and public company readiness (prior IPO or public experience highly valued).
  • Proven track record managing global operations, especially in Asian markets.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP (or equivalent) and EPM tools.
  • Strong leadership: experience building/managing teams, influencing cross-functionally in matrix environments, and driving process improvements.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills; comfortable rolling up sleeves in a fast-paced, hands-on setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing/leverage AI-driven tools in finance/accounting is a plus.
  • Background in high-growth tech/semiconductor companies approaching or completing IPO is a plus.
  • Familiarity with international consolidations and multi-jurisdiction compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all core accounting functions globally, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, equity, worldwide consolidation, and month end close, delivering timely and accurate financials along with insightful variance analysis.
  • Own internal controls over financial reporting (SOX readiness focus), monitor effectiveness, and continuously strengthen processes to support scaling operations.
  • Champion US GAAP compliance, technical accounting research, policy development, and new standard adoptions; draft/review position memos and advise leadership on impacts.
  • Harness AI and automation tools to streamline accounting/reporting workflows, reduce costs, boost efficiency, and enable the business to scale rapidly.
  • Collaborate with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, expense analytics, and management reporting to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Lead external audits (domestic and international), coordinate with auditors, and ensure flawless execution.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing global accounting team; foster a culture of excellence, integrity, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the SVP Finance, CFO, and cross-functional leaders (HR, IT, Legal, business units) on financial risks, opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
  • Stay ahead of emerging accounting/regulatory trends and provide proactive guidance to management.
