About The Position

About the Role:Hoffmaster is committed to responsible growth, operational excellence, and a culture of continuous improvement. We’re looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager to lead performance improvement initiatives across the plant. In this role, you’ll partner with plant management to drive Lean strategies, problem-solving, and metrics-driven improvement while coaching and training employees at all levels. Your work will help optimize quality, throughput, cost, and overall operational efficiency, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engagement. What You’ll Do: Develop and deploy the plant’s Lean vision and strategy, aligned with company-wide initiatives. Serve as a champion of facility initiatives that deliver continuous improvement, culture transformation, waste reduction, and cost savings. Partner with the CI Director, Operations Manager, and other plant leaders to coordinate and lead improvement initiatives that enhance quality, throughput, cost, and profitability. Facilitate and coordinate Kaizen blitz events throughout the plant. Track, monitor, and report key metrics on Lean and continuous improvement activities. Maintain professional affiliations and pursue professional development to enhance Lean expertise. Assist in project development, including capital expense proposals and implementation, particularly when projects relate to Lean methodologies and equipment improvements. Deploy Lean strategies, monitor results, and report progress to plant leadership. Collaborate with leadership to ensure employee engagement throughout Lean initiatives. Provide Lean training to employees and ensure correct use of Lean tools. Serve as a mentor and coach for developing Lean facilitators and leaders within the organization. Follow and maintain all Food Safety, GMP, and HACCP guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • High-level interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to perform with minimal supervision.

  • Experience developing long-term Lean strategies with clear vision, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated confidence, collaboration, and trust-building skills.
  • Proven change management skills with experience leading cultural transformation.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the paper converting industry and/or manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Understanding of accounting principles as they relate to operational improvement.
