The Corporate Communications Senior Manager will be a key partner to business leaders, driving storytelling that reflects innovation, our supply chain strength, digital transformation, and the company's commitment to people and communities. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with a growth mindset, strong media skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic, multi-platform communications campaigns that support key business priorities, including digital innovation, product initiatives, business operations, new ecosystems and corporate branding.
  • Strengthen and expand GE Appliances' media presence by cultivating relationships with national and regional reporters, influencers, bloggers, podcasters; proactively identifying opportunities to amplify the company's stories.
  • Drive compelling, creative storytelling across digital, social, earned, and owned channels that amplifies our stories and build external engagement.
  • Build and nurture relationships across our partner ecosystem - including industry groups, customers, and other key stakeholders - to extend our influence and visibility.
  • Provide trusted communications counsel to senior leaders; guide communications for organizational change, issues management, and reputation-sensitive topics.
  • Support the company's crisis communication readiness and response efforts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align internal and external messaging and create continuity in voice and tone.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or media strategy, ideally in a B2B or manufacturing context.
  • Demonstrated success in shaping narratives, landing impactful media placements, and managing complex communications programs.
  • Digital media fluency - including social content creation, analytics interpretation, and platform strategy.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across formats and audiences.
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities, navigating ambiguity, and delivering results under pressure.
  • Strong executive presence with a consultative approach to working with senior leaders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in unionized environments and crisis communication preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
