About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Corporate Communications Officer to develop and implement internal and external communications. This position will be responsible for proactively identifying and implementing marketing strategies, analyzing customer needs, and tailoring messages by target audience. The officer will research, write, edit, and publish communications products, manage production schedules, and develop new communication methods to reach target audiences. Additionally, the role involves supporting senior leaders with speechwriting and coordinating events and logistics for site visits and community relations activities.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is REQUIRED.
  • Ability to obtain a CI Polygraph is REQUIRED.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications, public relations, or similar.
  • 7+ years of experience with providing strategic communications support.
  • Experience with article development and speechwriting.
  • Experience with data gathering and analytical skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and implement marketing strategies.
  • Identify and reach out to potential users and user groups based on customer mission and operations tempo.
  • Analyze customer needs and make recommendations for message/information development.
  • Tailor messages by target audience.
  • Research, write, edit, and publish communications products.
  • Provide direction to graphic designers, briefing developers, and other staff.
  • Prepare material for publication and other media.
  • Manage and monitor production schedules.
  • Develop new communication methods to reach target audiences.
  • Support senior leaders by writing speeches, talking points, and other communications products.
  • Develop a comprehensive site visit plan for a new facility.
  • Serve as liaison with customer component working group members.
  • Coordinate details of events such as town halls and workforce engagement requirements.
  • Recommend community relations activities and develop a calendar of events.
  • Manage logistics requirements in coordination with local businesses and academic institutions.
  • Coordinate documentation and submission deadlines for events and meetings.
  • Establish processes and POCs for team use to manage events.
  • Schedule speakers, vendors, and participants as needed.
  • Coordinate and assist in monitoring event timelines.
  • Initiate and participate in efforts to publicize events.
  • Prepare presentations with the visual information specialist.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking.
  • Build a schedule for ad hoc visits for public officials.
  • Coordinate visits with the construction site manager.
  • Manage logistics for each visit and maintain a log of visits.
  • Advertise tour options and requirements as directed.
  • Provide regular tour attendee assessments and feedback.
