Position Purpose: Learn about various processes and functions within the Managed Care industry and develop professionally by contributing to projects that support the business. Learn various job functions within the Managed Care industry and explore various career opportunities Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within functional area and industry Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards An Intern in this role can expect to: Support internal employee communications across the enterprise and multiple lines of business, helping draft, edit, and proofread content for channels such as intranet articles, employee newsletters, leadership updates, emails, and presentations. Assist with maintaining and enhancing employee communication platforms and tools (e.g., intranet, editorial calendars, content libraries), including content updates, quality checks, and process improvements. Help coordinate and execute internal communications campaigns tied to enterprise priorities, business initiatives, and change communications. Partner with Corporate Communications team members and stakeholders across the business to ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned to enterprise strategy. Support external PR efforts by helping draft and refine public‑facing content, monitor media coverage, and contribute research that informs our external communication strategy. Assist with content planning, editorial workflows, and measurement efforts, including compiling engagement metrics and helping identify insights and opportunities for improvement. Provide general project and administrative support to the Corporate Communications team, such as organizing materials, managing documentation, and supporting meetings or events. Collaborate with fellow interns and cross-functional teams to support shared projects and enterprise initiatives. Contribute to a structured “signature project” that supports a key communications priority, applying research, creativity, and strategic thinking, and presenting findings and recommendations to communications leadership. Participate in training sessions, workshops, and speaker events to build professional skills and gain exposure to careers in corporate, internal, and external communications within the managed care industry.
