About The Position

The Corporate Communications Co-Op at Hill's Pet Nutrition is a year-round internship designed for students pursuing degrees in public relations, marketing, or communications. This role involves collaborating with the corporate communications team to implement engaging internal and external communication strategies for one of the leading pet food brands. The intern will support various communication projects, focusing on storytelling and customer experience, while also gaining valuable experience in a dynamic corporate environment.

Requirements

• Currently a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student pursuing a degree in public relations, marketing, communications studies, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including knowledge of AP Style.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for storytelling.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in using Google Workspace applications and Canva.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the corporate communications team to create and deliver innovative communication campaigns and projects.
• Assist in creating email, newsletters, digital signage, presentation materials, printed materials, toolkits, and intranet pages.
• Support the planning and execution of employee engagement communications projects.
• Contribute to event planning for quarterly town halls and other large corporate events.
• Assist with writing press releases, social media copy, and award submissions.
• Compile weekly media monitoring reports and track employer branding tool metrics.
• Provide administrative support to the corporate communications team, including data entry and analysis.
• Stay up-to-date on communications trends and cultural events to bring fresh ideas to the team.
