About The Position

The Corporate Coding Educator is responsible for educating and auditing coding activity and missed query opportunities for the multi-facility integrated healthcare system along in accordance with ICD-10-CM/PCS, coding rules, guidelines, and conventions following hospital and PAM Health system procedures. The ICD-10-CM codes will accurately reflect the reason for admission, extent of care received, and level of severity of illness. This position fills in for the Corporate Director of Coding as needed.

Requirements

• Certified Professional Coder or Certified Coding Specialist required
• 5+ years in Coding

Responsibilities

• educating and auditing coding activity
• auditing missed query opportunities
• following ICD-10-CM/PCS, coding rules, guidelines, and conventions following hospital and PAM Health system procedures
• filling in for the Corporate Director of Coding as needed
