About The Position

The Corporate Buyer plays a crucial role in managing purchase requests and coordinating with various departments to ensure specifications, delivery, and quality requirements are met. This position focuses on cost savings, standardization, and inventory optimization, while providing strong customer service to all stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Purchasing experience, including issuing Purchase Orders (POs) and evaluating suppliers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of purchasing experience.
  • Experience with automated systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Drive.

  • Strong analytical skills for pricing analysis and vendor evaluation.
  • Ability to perform market research and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracts and utilize GPO tools for pricing and product information.
  • Place orders via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) or directly with vendors.
  • Review price increases and report issues while updating Materials Management.
  • Solicit quotes for non-GPO items, perform pricing analysis, and engage in negotiations.
  • Analyze group purchasing contracts for potential savings.
  • Evaluate vendors based on product specifications, pricing, and delivery capabilities.
  • Expedite back-orders and collaborate with departments to approve substitutions.
  • Process orders within 24 hours of requisition.
  • Support product evaluations through market research and cost analysis.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to maintain accurate pricing and item data.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and satisfaction.
  • Perform other assigned duties and projects.
  • Adhere to professional standards and conduct.
