About The Position

The Corporate Business Development Specialist plays a crucial role in the Corporate Business Development team at Barr, focusing on strategies and data to identify, attract, and nurture clients. This position involves conducting marketing research, coordinating programs, and providing support for business development initiatives, particularly in the manufacturing market sector.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting marketing research to support market sector, key client, and select company and business unit market objectives.
  • Coordinating Market Sector Forum and Client Development Team (CDT) programs and their strategy efforts, including scheduling and facilitating meetings.
  • Driving strategic thought and actions to help position Barr for future opportunities with markets and clients.
  • Coordinating activities related to client loyalty, long-lead pursuits, and positioning.
  • Collaborating with communications staff, Client Experience program manager, and other stakeholders to facilitate support for program and event activities.
  • Supporting Business Unit Target Client and Marketing Campaign teams programs and their strategy efforts.
  • Coordinating and leading Corporate Business Development initiatives, including Environmental Social and Governance (ESG), Decarbonization, and Grant Tracking program efforts.
  • Providing communications and marketing support to the client events team, including content development and execution.
  • Monitoring RFP and intel data resources for Business Development and Communications teams.
