About The Position

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking experienced Corporate Banking Analysts to join Wells Fargo’s Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). The Analysts will join and grow one of the industry’s leading Financial Institutions practices, which covers insurance, asset management, market structure, and specialty finance companies. In this role, you will: Participate in structuring and executing transactions and supporting more senior staff with financial and credit analysis for assigned portfolio of loans within Financial Institutions Work with more senior staff to present recommendations for growing and maintaining a portfolio of profitable clients in FIG through proactive, strategic and consistent business development and client retention Responsible for developing presentation materials for client meetings and internal discussions; may take ownership of and lead follow-up items with a client after a call; sees items through to resolution to support broader deal team/organization. Perform or guide credit underwriting work of peers in accounting for all risk factors and providing risk rating recommendations Review and interpret credit policies and procedures and incorporate requirements into credit analysis, observations and lending recommendations Collaborate and consult with peers, internal partners and stakeholders, including clients

Requirements

  • 6+ months of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Willingness to work on-site in accordance with current office requirements
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite may also be required
  • This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check.
  • Internal transfers are subject to compliance with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification
  • Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.
  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired.

Nice To Haves

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
  • 6+ months of financial services experience in portfolio management and/or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Ability to thoroughly analyze credits on an independent basis with high attention to detail and accuracy and communicate findings in a concise manner
