Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with membership in good standing.
  • 5 to 10 years in a corporate legal department or top law firm.
  • Broad-based legal experience in litigation, environmental, and labor and employment matters.
  • Excellent communication, writing and computer skills.
  • Exceptional administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact directly with internal clients to achieve company goals.
  • Proficient in legal research and analysis.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to exercise sound judgment in accordance with defined corporate risk parameters.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering or technical education background a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing or construction industries a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality legal services and counseling to company management in a timely manner.
  • Supervise outside lawyers hired to assist the corporation to provide specialized legal services.
  • Manage legal services and projects in a cost effective manner.
  • Perform various types of legal research and provide advice on company’s legal rights and obligations.
  • Review and draft legal documents on a variety of legal matters.
  • Provide legal advice on legal issues arising from actual or anticipated litigation.
