Join the StandardAero Houston team as an A&P Mechanic supporting maintenance and inspection of corporate aircraft. In this role, you’ll perform detailed airframe maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of corporate jet platforms including Learjet, Embraer, Challenger, Hawker, Gulfstream and Falcon aircraft. You’ll work in a collaborative, high-performance MRO environment where safety, precision, and teamwork drive success.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience performing heavy maintenance on turbofan engine corporate aircraft.
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
  • Ability to read and interpret OEM maintenance manuals and schematic diagrams.
  • Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an MRO or Service Center environment.
  • Factory-authorized training on corporate aircraft and/or Honeywell engines.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently while supporting team goals.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on business jet airframes and systems.
  • Remove and reinstall turbofan and turboprop engines for inspection and maintenance.
  • Conduct operational checks, engine runs, and leak checks to verify serviceability.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, landing gear, flight control, and other airframe systems.
  • Evaluate removed components for serviceability; document and resolve discrepancies.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical data.
  • Perform fuel tank sealing and other specialized structural tasks as required.
  • Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives in accordance with FAA and OEM standards.
  • Document all work performed clearly, accurately, and in compliance with StandardAero procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality standards in a professional MRO setting.
